Today on Getting Social with Miriam, I interviewed Charlotte Cassidy who is a psychotherapist, counselor and wellness coach and we focused a lot on delving into the topic of energy psychology. We spoke about how we become so wired and why habits form in the first place. We also discussed how changing your wiring takes a lot more than thinking positive thoughts. In fact, we discussed techniques that many people have likely not heard of that are used to change programming. I have to say, it was definitely another very fascinating show.
Charlotte began her training in the field of psychology with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. She continued her education at Nipissing University completing a Bachelor of Education degree. After working as a Special Education Resource Teacher for the Avon-Maitland District School Board, Charlotte returned to her studies to pursue a Masters degree in psychology.
Charlotte received her Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2007 from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Her graduate education included clinical training under supervised practice to gain experience using a variety of treatment modalities in providing individual psychotherapy. Her work experience?has included therapy in a private practice, and hospital setting, as well as psycho-educational consulting in a school board setting. She has been a member of the Ontario Association of Counselors, Consultants, Psychotherapists and Psychometrists (OACCPP) since 2006. Charlotte has also been studying and training in various Energy Psychology techniques and is a member of the Canadian Association for Integrative and Energy Therapies and is currently completing her Diplomate Certification with the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP). She is an?Advanced PSYCH-K? Facilitator and utilizes meditation, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and other therapy modalities to increase her client’s sense of health and well-being. Currently, she is an applicant for Registration with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Great show. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for listening!
Hi Miriam,
I loved this podcast you did with Charlotte Cassidy. I listened to the entire interview because I’m a great fan of how the mind works.
I like the part of change. Sometimes we resist it and Charlotte answers your question so well. Working on “resistance” is important especially with tapping. I did go this process myself and know it works!
I have been through energy psychology from muscle testing, to tapping to rapid eye movement with EMDR.
I sure can say that it does work!
Thanks so much for this fabulous interview. I know that it will help so many!

It was a great show, and thanks for sharing this Donna. It is definitely not easy. I admire anyone who is really ready to make drastic changes like that.
Hello, Miriam. This seems very impressive! It takes a lot of dedication to commit that much of your life to becoming a psychotherapist. Props to her for her accomplishments and congrats to you as well for your interview. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Kyle, and I agree!

I am so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by Joan.
Hi Miriam,
Thanks for sharing this helpful and inspiring information and Interview with Charlotte Cassidy. I have been interested in energy work for quite a while and have tried EFT and Reiki healing and also recently studied and qualified as a Crystal Healer. I have not started practicing yet as I would like to further my studies in other areas of energy work and this Interview inspired me to look at other modalities so that I will be able to combine them with my Enegy Work with Crystals
Thank You
Sarah

Hi Miriam,
Great interviewed, listened to the whole thing. I teach meditation and it’s a great way of learning how the mind works with thoughts. Once they see they can clear thoughts they are amazed … wonderful information …. all the moralities discussed have so many benefits on different levels ..
Thanks so much for listening Lesly. I am glad you enjoyed it!
