On the last episode of Getting Social with Miriam, I focused on the power of gratitude, and interviewed Lisa E. Papp, founder of PracticalGratitude.com. Lisa has 30 years? experience in direct and retail sales, retail management, customer service, and marketing for organizations including Nordstrom, SAFECO Insurance, and the American Institute of Architects ? Seattle Chapter. Under her management, sales for the flagship Greetings retail store increased over 20{a0065375a7e2d1c093abc1aba7894b1ad713a40df7f413d8a34d916c8e570350} in 1 year. She has received many commendations for superior customer service.
Lisa has volunteered with various non-profit organizations including the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce in Seattle (Board Secretary and Board President) and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Using stress reduction and gratitude practices, Lisa overcame health challenges which resulted in debilitating panic attacks.
Lisa and I discussed why practicing gratitude on a daily basis is essential for anyone’s well being, regardless of what situation they are in. Life can be very tough, and it is crucial to focus on the good that many of us take us for granted. These little things that we tend to take for granted are actually huge blessings. Business owners must use this practice as well to succeed.
PracticalGratitude.com offers a free trial of a gratitude sending tool as well as information about stress reduction and gratitude practices. The Productive Power of Gratitude online program for sales and customer service professionals will launch in 2015. Listen to the podcast here.

Well said Miriam and of course I agree that gratitude is an important element to achieve success as well as life satisfaction.
Very true Marquita.
Hi Miriam
Practicing gratitude is something I’ve started a long time ago. It is so much part of my life now that everywhere I look I am grateful.
From the smallest things, to the house I own.. and especially the people I love. Once starting practicing this, we can live a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

Very true Donna, thanks so much for sharing that.
Great post. Gratitude is the way to go. It is so powerful, unfortunately some people underestimate it. You won’t believe how many times I watched the movie Secret when it first came out. Funny I still watch it once in a while. Just to remind myself how important it is to leave in the attitude of gratitude. Everyone should no matter what their circumstance. Thank you.
Thanks Christine, very true, always something to be grateful for. Thanks for commenting.
