getting social

On the last episode of Getting Social with Miriam, I focused on the power of gratitude, and interviewed Lisa E. Papp, founder of PracticalGratitude.com. Lisa has 30 years? experience in direct and retail sales, retail management, customer service, and marketing for organizations including Nordstrom, SAFECO Insurance, and the American Institute of Architects ? Seattle Chapter. Under her management, sales for the flagship Greetings retail store increased over 20{a0065375a7e2d1c093abc1aba7894b1ad713a40df7f413d8a34d916c8e570350} in 1 year. She has received many commendations for superior customer service.

Lisa has volunteered with various non-profit organizations including the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce in Seattle (Board Secretary and Board President) and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Using stress reduction and gratitude practices, Lisa overcame health challenges which resulted in debilitating panic attacks.

Lisa and I discussed why practicing gratitude on a daily basis is essential for anyone’s well being, regardless of what situation they are in. Life can be very tough, and it is crucial to focus on the good that many of us take us for granted. These little things that we tend to take for granted are actually huge blessings. Business owners must use this practice as well to succeed.

PracticalGratitude.com offers a free trial of a gratitude sending tool as well as information about stress reduction and gratitude practices. The Productive Power of Gratitude online program for sales and customer service professionals will launch in 2015. Listen to the podcast here.
