On the last episode of Getting Social with Miriam, the guest was Victor Tan out of Melbourne, Australia and we covered how to conduct professional presentations. Victor has been researching presentations for over 2 years after watching presentations given around the world and noticing why some speakers are better than others. After carefully looking at many presentations and reading books about talent and potential, he started realizing that many potential speakers were holding themselves back, and started Spirit On Stage to teach people how to really improve their speaking abilities. He specializes in helping others push past the mental obstacles they have set for themselves and realize their true speaking potential. Victor strongly believes anyone can be a great speaker if they try, no matter where they come from, how old they are or their background.
In his spare time he can be found doing research, learning new languages, helping friends and devising new self-improvement tactics for everyone.

Hi,
Really superb post
Thanks for sharing with us keep up it
Have a nice week ahead.
As someone who fears making presentations this was really inspiring. I hadn’t considered that good presentations take so long to plan. Knowing that even the best presenters don’t quickly whip them up helps.
Sue they take very long to plan, that is if you want to plan a super one! Have a great night.
HI Miriam,
Great discussion on presentations .. discussing the “why” before the “how” is a very good point. Informative interview! Thanks …
Thanks for commenting Lesly, glad you enjoyed it.
Miriam
Some great advice on your interview. Like the one about being nervous and thinking about the audience and they are nervous.
thanks
Andy
Thanks for listening Andy, everyone is nervous, the audience and the presenter.
Hi Miriam,
Great post. Speaking on stage is not one of my goals but I do admire anyone who is working towards that goal and achieves it.
Thanks for commenting Monna, you will only attempt it when you are ready and there is never any pressure for that.
Hi Miriam, I really enjoyed this interview and took notes throughout. I think many of us do have a fear of public speaking. Victor had many great points to consider as you’re preparing for your presention and the length of time it takes to have a great one.
I am glad you found it useful BG, Victor is an expert in this!
Hi Miriam,
I sure liked your podcast about presentations. Speaking in front of people was never a problem for me. I’ve done it on stage in the past. Had a radio show.
And now do interviews and presentations online. It wasn’t easy at first and the truth is I do get so nervous before hand. But once I get going…I can’t shut up lol.

That is like anything Donna! It is hard at first but once you are used to it, its second nature, thanks for the comment!
Hi Miriam ,
interesting interview ,I think he is right everyone can do it ,
but it needs practice .Imagining the people in underwear does
not help for sure 🙂 but practice makes the master, in German they say .
Thank you
Erika
