I have not written a blog post in a while about Fiverr. So here it goes. I absolutely love Fiverr. In fact, in many ways it has been a Godsend. I know that many feel the same way. There are also a lot of people who absolutely have no idea what Fiverr is. I am delighted to explain.
Fiverr.com is a freelance/microgig site that was founded by Israeli entrepreneurs in February 2010, and the site became an immediate success, hosting over 500,000 gigs within that year. It just grew more beyond that and evolved. At first, anyone who wanted to offer a gig would only do so for $5, where they would make $4 and $1 would go to the Fiverr site. However, if the runner of those gigs has consistently received good ratings, then he or she would have the option of adding extra features for $10, $20 or even $50 by moving up different levels.
What is so Great About Fiverr?
I am excited to talk about why I absolutely love Fiverr and use it virtually all of the time.
- Inexpensive and High Quality Outsourcing – If I have gotten a lot of work to do, and it is too overwhelming for me to complete it on my own, I just outsource it! It’s cheap (even if I have to pay for the extras, still cheaper than hiring a virtual assistant). Or if I don’t want to, or do not know how to do something myself, I turn to Fiverr for help. However, if you are going to outsource any kind of work to a Fiverr seller, be sure to check ratings first. Anyone who has a rating of anything under 95{a0065375a7e2d1c093abc1aba7894b1ad713a40df7f413d8a34d916c8e570350} usually does not deliver the best quality work. Read the feedback that buyers have left. That is very important because those ratings and feedback say a lot. If I am also working on a project and I find out at the last minute that I need a graphic designed for something, I will immediately turn to Fiverr, find a high quality seller who has a quick turn around time (that is important to read too if you need something rushed) and purchase the gig. Easy as pie.
- An Excellent Revenue Stream -?If you enjoy doing something simple that other people would need or enjoy, sell your talent on Fiverr! However, remember that you do not want to sell something that would take you hours to do for $5. If what you want to sell for $5 will take a lot of your time then spread it over a week, and give your buyers a turnaround time of a week or even longer. If you are at a higher level, you can also charge more if the task is involved or you can give the option to the buyer to pay extra if he or she would like the work to be rushed. I have done quite well on Fiverr because I offer some popular gigs myself. I have to say I rarely withdraw any money I have made from Fiverr. The reason for that is because I know I will be needing to purchase other gigs, and I let the funds come from my balance that I have accumulated on Fiverr. ?So in a sense it is like bartering.
- Networking– It is against Fiverr’s rules to contact sellers outside of Fiverr. However, most of the time it happens anyway, given the type of gig you are purchasing or offering. Especially if the gig is social media related. I must say because of Fiverr, I have met some pretty awesome people and added them to my network!
So if you have not checked out Fiverr, then I suggest you do! You will be in for a treat, and remember, if you want to make some extra cash, Fiverr is a good place to do that too! And by the way here is my Fiverr profile. Check it out if you want 🙂
I agree Fiverr can be a great resource especially if you build a network and get recommendations
I also really enjoy making money on Fiverr. It really is a great source of additional income.
Good article .i love FIverr 🙂
I suggest SEOClerks.com , its similar to Fiverr but focuses primarily on SEO and website related stuff (programming), where you can buy and sell your services and products, and earn some money. My guess is that Fiverr still has tons of more visitors than all other sites, but I believe that thousands of people will be joining SEOClerks in the nearest future.
Thanks for sharing article nice one..waiting for next one keep it up
