Big news for Klout today! Lithium Technologies has once and for all acquired them. Lithium Technologies provides social customer service management for major companies such as Skype and Sephora. This deal was spoken about a month ago, as you can read about it here, however it was not made official until now.
It will be very interesting to see how Klout evolves based on this acquisition. As for now, Klout will still be working out of their current office in San Francisco, however eventually it will move to the offices at Lithium Technologies. Thanks to co-author Terry Brock of Klout Matters: How to Engage Customers, Boost Your Digital Influence–and Raise Your Klout Score for Success, he had recorded the press conference about the big acquisition. Here is the video which is just over 35 minutes.
